The demolition of the 14-story building required two attempts. The first blast brought down most of the building, but a wiring problem left
about a third of the building still standing. The demolition company corrected the problem and a couple of hours later a second blast brought
down the remaining section.
US70 Bridge over the Clinch River
Demolished: November 14, 2006 (Tue)
The bridge was located near the TVA Steam Plant at I40. The span was 280-feet long.
The Old Air Traffic Control Tower at Indianapolis Airport
Demolished: November 13, 2006 (Mon)
The tower was designed by the world renowned architect I. M. Pei and stood 140-feet tall.

Water Tank at the former Pillowtex Mill
Demolished: November 9, 2006 (Thu)
The first demolition attempt (Nov 2) of the 262-foot water tower was delayed by high winds.
When the winds permitted, the second demolition attempt (Nov 8) failed and left the water tower still standing.
The tower fell on the third demolition attempt.
