We have assembled a list of implosions and explosive demolitions. The Implosion Finder website has been created by searching various sources
and it includes the demolitions of office buildings, hotels, stadiums, smokestacks, silos, bridges - anything that strikes our fancy.
Generally, demolitions are not announced ahead of time and it can be difficult to learn of them. Sometimes the date of a demolition is only
announced a week or two in advance. At other times, there might only be a day or two of warning. As a result, our information can be limited -
but we will include what we can.
The ImplosionFinder website consists of five areas:
- Scheduled Demolitions:
This area contains those demolitions that have been scheduled (where a date has been announced).
In some cases, a specific date may have been announced. In other cases, the demolition date may be limited to nothing more than a target month.
The demolitions are listed with the soonest listed first.
- Future Demolitions:
As we hear of future demolitions (either announced or rumored), we place them in this area.
The demolitions are listed by their location.
- Recent Demolitions:
We are keeping track of past demolitions and they also are listed by their location.
- Companies:
Our list of those companies that perform explosive demolitions and implosions.
- Viewing:
While they can be a lot of fun, attending a demolitions can require some planning.
